| 内容記述 | The overall impression given by the book is of a small section of society locked in an almost timeless present in which very little will or can change. For the most part the people are as fixed and repetitive as the .linked routines and social rituals which dominate their lives. Money is a potential problem and courtship has its own personal dramas, that is, everything tends toward the achieving of satisfactory marriages. In such a world Jane Austen, the author in Pride and Prejudice composed a novel in Which the most important events are the. Fact that a man, Mr. Darcy changes his manners and a young lady, Elizabeth Rennet changes her mind, and both of them come to the spiritual growth, focusing the development of their love story, in the 'formation of the comic of life with irony and humour. For the first two parts of the book they are taking part in an action which should be called 'pride and prejudice'. This book is about prejudging and rejudging in a realistic reflection on everyday life. Besides, we must not forget the immense charm of Elizabeth's character; her combination of energy and intelligence, her gay resilience in a society tending always towards dull conformity and her. Character makes her a worthy heroine, being contrasted Jane's one, candour. By reading an intelligent Darcy's letter Elizabeth not only changes her mind about him, but also comes to a moment of intense realization about herself. After all she grows absolutely, ashamed of herself and preceives her own pride and prejudice. Elizabeth is one of the finest products of many English heroines, through Austen's ingenious handling of characters in the convention. | |||||||||||
